I made something for myself for the first time…ever!
I used the newly released Metro T-shirt pattern by Liesl and Co. According to my measurements, I fell under the size small category. It was very simple to sew and fits really well. I decided to shorten it to a crop top length and I love it! I used a mystery knit that I got from a warehouse fabric store, it reminded me of a Mara Hoffman print and I loved the geometric pattern it had on it. The color scheme is amazing too. I think this shirt’s given me the confidence to try sewing for myself again, it was pretty thrilling. And by the way, Ava was my photog. for the pictures, not bad for a 4 year old! 😉
Meagan! It’s so cute on you!! I’d love to feature it on the Oliver + S blog this week – can you drop me an email at skirtastop(at)gmail(dot)com and let me know if that’s okay? Also would love to know if you you just chopped the pattern at a certain point or did anything more fancy than that for the alteration. 😉
I love this! You look fabulous. Thanks for linking up to Inspire Us Thursday on The Inspired Wren.
Thank you, and you’re welcome! 🙂
